Guilherme Felippe, a Massimo Consulting consultant, points out in an article published by Mundo do Marketing that one of the biggest challenges companies face is the lack of modernization in IT infrastructure at distribution centers amid rising volumes of goods.

"When a retailer expands its operation without adjusting processes and adapting technology, it ends up facing unexpected problems, such as an exponential rise in delivery logistics errors and increasingly longer delays in restocking or order dispatch, for example," says the expert.
